English Workshop 10: Students Learning to Apply AI Responsibly

05/27/2026

To help students access and use Artificial Intelligence (AI) effectively in their studies, on the morning of May 27, the Faculty of English organized English Workshop 10 with the theme “ChatGPT or CheatGPT: English and AI – Use It Right!”

The program was accompanied and shared by Dr. Nguyễn Thị Đan Tâm and Ms. Tô Thị Kiều Oanh—lecturers from the Faculty of English Language. The event attracted the attention of many students who are passionate about language and technology.

Continuing a practical series: new topics linked to a rapidly developing digital age

At the workshop, the lecturers offered practical insights into the role of AI—especially tools such as ChatGPT—in supporting English learning and improving learning efficiency. Students were introduced to many ways to apply AI to develop language skills, such as generating writing ideas, practicing communication reflexes, checking grammar, expanding vocabulary, and optimizing self-study processes.

Lecturers clarify AI’s role in English learning and emphasize learners’ responsibility

Along with the outstanding benefits, the workshop also emphasized the issue of responsible AI use in the academic environment. According to the lecturers, the key point is not whether students use AI, but whether AI is used to support their own learning—or whether AI “does the work instead of them.” From there, the program encourages students to develop active thinking, learn to filter information, and use technology as a supportive tool rather than relying on it completely.

In addition, students were provided with information regarding okviphoatdong store’s regulations on AI use for students. These sharing sessions help participants better understand transparency, academic ethics, and their personal responsibility when applying technology in learning and research.

The workshop combining hands-on activities to encourage initiative and interaction

Through the workshop, students not only gained a better understanding of current AI application trends in education, but also strengthened their awareness of using technology correctly, effectively, and appropriately for a modern university setting.
